INFO

Whitney Butler is a designer, filmmaker, and visual storyteller with a background in photography, film, and creative marketing.

She began her career in Los Angeles working in film and awards publicity, managing national press tours, red carpet premieres, and awards campaigns for studios like Sony Pictures Classics and Lionsgate—including Knives Out, which earned three Golden Globe nominations under her lead.

Now based in Arkansas, Whitney serves as Senior Graphic Designer at Good Day Farm, a leading cannabis company in the South. She creates brand and retail campaigns across four states, designs packaging for new products, and leads all photo and video art direction across the company’s wide brand portfolio—either shooting content herself or managing large-scale productions with nationally recognized photographers. She also works closely with Good Day Farm’s executive team to develop internal media and educational content for more than 2,000 employees nationwide. Whitney helps lead the company’s PRIDE employee resource group, building visibility and community for LGBTQ+ staff throughout the region. In 2024, she was named one of Arkansas Money & Politics’ Future Icons for her contributions to creativity, advocacy, and leadership in the South.

A lifelong creative, Whitney has been telling stories through visual mediums since childhood—winning national photography awards, founding her own business at 14, and earning scholarships and festival recognition for her cinematography and filmmaking. Her work is driven by a belief that design and media can be tools for connection, expression, and joy.

Outside of her full-time role, she is also a founder and the creative force of Hairpins, a fast-growing events company for lesbians, queers, nonbinary, and transgender individuals. Launched in July 2024 with the goal of creating spaces where lesbians and queer communities could find each other and exist together, Hairpins has grown from a one-off party into a beloved regional brand, voted “Best Gay Bar” in Arkansas—without even having a physical location. Whitney leads all visual branding and creative direction for the company, designing event campaigns, merch, and pop-up experiences that have connected hundreds of people across Arkansas and the South.

Outside of work, Whitney’s creativity is fueled by feeling grounded, often found on hiking through Arkansas parks or along the base of the Matterhorn. She brings quiet grit and a lightness of touch to everything she creates.
